DESCRIPTION:Critics\, fans\, and fellow comedians agree: Brian Regan is one of the most respected comedians in the country\, with Vanity Fair calling Brian “The funniest stand-up alive” and Entertainment Weekly calling him “Your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian.”  Having built his 30-plus year career on the strength of his material alone\, Brian’s non-stop theater tour continuously fills the most beautiful venues across North America\, visiting close to 100 cities each year. \nBrian returns for his third season in Peter Farrelly’s TV series\, Loudermilk\, which premiered on April 27\, 2021\, streaming on Amazon Prime.  Farrelly personally cast Brian in the series alongside Ron Livingston\, Anja Savcic\, Will Sasso\, and Mat Fraser.  Brian is receiving praise for his portrayal of “Mugsy\,” a recovering addict who is estranged from his family.  The first two seasons of Loudermilk originally aired on AT&T’s Audience Network and moved to Amazon Prime on March 12\, 2021. \nOn February 23\, 2021\, Brian premiered his second Netflix stand-up special\, Brian Regan: On The Rocks\, which was shot at Tuachan Center for the Arts\, an outdoor amphitheater in Utah.  Brian’s first Netflix special\, Brian Regan: Nunchucks And Flamethrowers\, premiered to rave reviews on November 21\, 2017\, and is also available as a vinyl album.   \nBrian stars in his own Netflix series\, Stand Up And Away! The all-star lineup includes Feather\, the Guinness world record holder for highest jumping canine\, National Champion Frisbee dogs\, a hilarious six pound Pomeranian Pikachu mix\, and a host of previously discarded dogs that will dance\, prance\, flip\, and skip their way right in to your heart. \nThe family friendly show runs about 75 minutes and was created by veteran comedy team Scott and Joan Houghton\, who performed their duo act ‘Jessie & James’ on variety stages from Tokyo to Las Vegas. Rodney is fresh off the release of his latest album\, “Get Em Out\,” (released 2019) which hit #1 on iTunes. A GRAMMY Award-winning stand-up\, Lewis Black performs his critically acclaimed shows more than 200 nights annually\, to sold-out audiences throughout Europe\, New Zealand\, Canada\, and the United States. In 2012\, he performed eight sell-out shows at Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway. \nBorn in Washington D.C. on Aug. 30\, 1948\, Lewis Black was raised in Silver Spring\, Md. Colicky as a baby\, he was destined to be angry and easily irritated. His mother\, a teacher\, and his father\, a mechanical engineer\, instilled the importance of education and the necessity to question authority—lessons that influenced Black throughout his life. He fell in love with the theatre at age 12\, after seeing his first play\, which led to pursuing a career in drama. Degrees followed from the University of North Carolina and Yale Drama School\, with a stint in Colorado owning a theatre with a group of friends in the interim. During his tenure at UNC\, Black ventured into stand-up\, performing at Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill. In addition to overseeing the works on stage\, Black emceed every show. As the West Bank grew\, so did Black’s stand-up skills. He lent his voice to Jimmy in Bob Saget’s parody “Farce of the Penguins” (Thinkfilm). \nIn 2015\,  Black notably voiced the character “Anger” in the Academy Award winning film from Pixar\, “Inside Out.” The film is about an 11-year-old-girl\, Riley\, who is dealing with a move across the country\, and wrestling with the emotions inside her head: Joy (Amy Poehler)\, Sadness (Phyllis Smith)\, Fear (Bill Hader)\, Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and\, Lewis Black. Early film pitches actually named the comedian to illustrate how an iconic voice like Black’s could bring a character like Anger to life. Black\, who’s a fan of all things Pixar\, calls the opportunity a career-defining role. “I knew from the very beginning that this was going to be special\,” he says. “I’ll be remembered as this little red guy who yells and his head goes on fire.” \nAs a long time mentor with the 52nd Street Project\, Black was roasted in Charred Black 2007\, which drew the largest fundraising numbers in the Project’s history. In the years that followed\, many of the Steps ignored the conventional wisdom (“Don’t quit your day job!”)\, and although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers\, taken together the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. \nSince they began\, the Capitol Steps have recorded over 35 albums\, including their latest\, What to Expect When You’re Electing. They’ve been featured on NBC\, CBS\, ABC\, and PBS\, and can be heard twice a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials. \nThe Capitol Steps were born in December\, 1981 when some staffers for Senator Charles Percy were planning entertainment for a Christmas party. So\, they decided to dig into the headlines of the day\, and created song parodies & skits which conveyed a special brand of satirical humor that was as popular in Peoria as it was on Pennsylvania Avenue. \nMost cast members have worked on Capitol Hill; some for Democrats\, some for Republicans\, and others for politicians who firmly straddle the fence. No matter who holds office\, there’s never a shortage of material. Says Elaina Newport\, “Typically the Republicans goof up\, and the Democrats party. Then the Democrats goof up and the Republicans party. That’s what we call the two-party system.” \nALTHOUGH the Capitol Steps are based in Washington\, DC\, most of their shows are out-of-town or for out-of-town audiences\, whether it’s the National Welding Supply Association\, a University audience\, High Schoolers\, or State Legislators. In fact\, the Capitol Steps have performed for the last 5 Presidents (6\, if you include Hillary). The only complaints the Steps seem to get are from politicians and personalities who are not included in the program! \nNo matter who or what is in the headlines\, you can bet the Capitol Steps will tackle both sides of the political spectrum and all things equally foolish. What more would you expect from the group that puts the “MOCK” in Democracy?!

They allow me to say whatever I want on Wait\, Wait…Don’t Tell Me. The panelists are unscripted\, so it’s perfect for me. I feel like I’m a batter in a batting cage. I get lobbed topics.
