Mr. Hagen created 3 tenor roles in the world premier of The Lost Dauphane for Pamiro Opera airing on PBS. He has performed a vast array of operatic roles ranging from Alfredo in La Traviata\, to the title role of Otello for Cleveland Opera on tour. Mr. Hagen is highly regarded for his performances of the Verdi Requiem and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9\, having performed these works with more than a dozen symphonies across the United States. He has received many awards throughout his career including finalist in the New Jersey Opera Association of Verismo Opera competition held at Carnegie Hall\, Metropolitan Opera Auditions Regional Finalist\, and winner of numerous other competitions. John has taught voice and vocal pedagogy at Wartburg College and at his alma mater\, the University of Northern Iowa. \nMARCUS COLLINS\nMarcus was born in a small town and began performing at the age of 4. He first learned how to sing by emulating his favorite artists like Garth Brooks\, George Michael and Freddie Mercury before training classically in college. Marcus has performed throughout the world on cruise ships and numerous stage productions including a performance in Times Square with the Broadway cast of Hairspray\, Off-Broadway’s Altar Boyz as Matthew\, and Permission: A Rock Musical. He also starred in multiple productions of The Sound of Music in the roles of Kurt\, Rolf and Uncle Max. Beyond music he has worked extensively as an actor with appearances in more than 100 episodes of network television and 25 films including P.S. I Love You\, Semi-Pro\, Delirious\, 30 Rock\, Sex and the City\, recurring roles on One Life To Live and As The World Turns\, and a Guest VJ on MTV’s TRL. One of his favorite roles was appearing as Edward Carnby in the video game Alone in the Dark for Eden Games in 2008. \nJC FISHER\nJC has entertained audiences around the world for the past 15 years. In high school\, he had a passion for sports and also enjoyed singing in church. He discovered a deeper love for singing at Wichita State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music. JC performed various roles including Rodolfo in La Boheme\, Tamino in The Magic Flute\, Ernesto in Don Pasquale\, Henrick in A Little Night Music and even Miss America’s duet partner at the 1997 Miss Kansas Pageant.         After college\, JC traveled to Lucca\, Italy where he sang in the Puccini festival under the direction of acclaimed Italian maestro Lorenzo Malfatti. He then created a home base in Katy\, TX before sailing the high seas aboard more than 75 cruise ships worldwide as a guest entertainer. This allowed JC to create a show featuring many different genres of music and world class arrangements\, which eventually led to his idea of forming The Texas Tenors. After many years of traveling and concerts\, his most memorable performance is still one from college where he found his future wife. Jennifer Vannatta\, Miss Kansas 1998\, married JC in 2004 and they have three children. \n \nSpecial Guest: Anthony Mossburg\nSix years. Four original albums. The only problem is\, Smalls doesn’t know how to play ball. What follows is a heartwarming and hilarious coming of age story featuring a terrifying neighborhood monstrosity known as “The Beast\,” irresponsible treatment of priceless memorabilia and\, of course\, the valuable life lesson that things on the surface are not always as they seem. \nRated PG / Running time: 1 hour 40 minutes \n

DESCRIPTION:The year 2015 marked the 45th Anniversary of perennial classic-rock favorite\, America. Founding members\, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (along with former band mate Dan Peek) met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song “A Horse With No Name”. America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first #1 single.  Forty plus years later\, these friends are still making music together\, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound. \n \nAmerica’s journey has found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain.  Their best-known tunes\, which also include “I Need You\,” “Ventura Highway\,” “Don’t Cross The River\,” “Tin Man\,” “Lonely People\,” and “Sister Golden Hair” were cornerstones of 1970’s Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits\, listeners would discover there was always much more to America than surface perceptions. The combination of Gerry Beckley’s melodic pop rock and Dewey Bunnell’s use of folk-jazz elements\, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with Dan Peek’s more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics. \nAmerica’s albums–six certified gold and/or platinum\, with their first greatest hits collection\, History\, hitting four plus million in sales–displayed a fuller range of the trio’s talents than did their singles. Their material encompassed an ambitious artistic swath; from effects-laden rockers to oddball medleys to soul-bearing ballads\, America displayed a flawless blend of disparate genres and styles as wide-open as the great American plains. \nEnjoying massive success early in their career\, America earned their stripes as musical soldiers on the battlefield amidst the excess\, craziness and chaos of the 70’s. The trio won the Grammy® for Best New Artist in 1972 and began\nworking with George Martin and Geoff Emerick in 1974.  This successful team\nwent on to record seven albums and several Top Ten hits\, including “Tin Man” and “Sister Golden Hair”. \nBy the mid-70s\, inter-band conflicts combined with an exhaustive touring and recording schedule exacted its toll on the group. With Peek’s departure from the fold in 1977\, Gerry Beckley & Dewey Bunnell rose to the challenge and carried on as a duo. Shifts in sound and direction\, changes in producers and managers\, and a renewed dedication to the craft of songwriting helped rocket America to the upper reaches of the pop charts in 1982 with their smash single\, “You Can Do Magic.”  During this tumultuous time in their career\, Beckley and Bunnell immersed themselves in their craft\, infusing a newfound maturity into their rich body of work. Their growth as singers\, songwriters and musicians has continued into the present day as illustrated by landmark releases such as 2000’s Highway 3-disc box set\, 2002’s Holiday Harmony\, an album comprised of seasonal classics and live showcases\, 2007’s Here & Now\, 2009’s Live In Concert: Wildwood Springs and 2011’s Back Pages.

DESCRIPTION:Scotty McCreery is currently rising up the charts with his smash hit song “Five More Minutes\,” which has already earned 30 million streams and sold 100\,000 downloads. He made history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album\, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day\, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart. He has gone on to see all three of his albums debut at No. 1 on a Billboard album chart\, with current combined sales nearing 3 million copies. He’s earned one Gold single and three Platinum singles and achieved two Top Ten hits with “Feelin’ It” and “See You Tonight.” The latter song earned McCreery both his first BMI Award for writing one of the Top 50 Country Songs of 2015 and his first Music Row No. 1 Challenge Coin. He won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011; was named the ACM New Artist of the Year Award in 2011; won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“The Trouble with Girls”) in 2012; and American Country Awards for new Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013. DESCRIPTION:Chasiti Murphy\, John Kunze and the Steve Hussey Band are bringing BOOMING country music entertainment to the Mid-Ohio Valley! Our Baby Boomer generation is reaching the age when they are beginning to find themselves in need of senior services. Proceeds from this event will assist the O’Neill Center in continuing to provide valuable seniors services in our community! \n  \nPerformers: \n \nChasiti Murphy\, 19 years old and a 2017 graduate from Waterford\, Ohio. Chasiti has been singing since she was able to talk and has continued to follow her love for music throughout her whole life! She has been in several talent shows\, choir concerts and anything associated with music! She is currently a child care provider at Sandhill Childcare in Reno\, Ohio and plans to go to college to get a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education to become a Kindergarten teacher. “Although\, no matter what I pursue in life…music and singing will always be a part of me\, wherever life takes me\,” says Chasiti! \n  \n \nJohn Kunze\, a local country music singer/songwriter originally from Parkersburg\, WV and currently living in Belpre\, Ohio. John is the 2016 West Virginia/Ohio State winner of the local and state rounds of the country’s largest country music competition\, the Country Showdown. His musical influence comes from his love of the outdoors\, hard work\, friends and family. John’s favorite part of playing music is meeting new people\, which he considers friends and listening to their stories and experience. \nJohn is also a new Nashville recording artist with plans to release his first CD into the national country music market in 2018. \n  \n \nThe Steve Hussey Band\, a singer/songwriter and producer from Washington\, West Virginia. Steve has been playing professionally for almost 20 years in various bands including Stuck on Amber\, The Steve Hussey Band\, and Luvbox. He has entertained clubs\, fairs and festivals\, and private parties all over the east coast. \nHe bought a Yamaha FG acoustic guitar and an Eagles book of chords when he was 19. The rest\, as they say\, is history. DESCRIPTION:Known to millions as “The Royal Family of the Guitar\,” the Romeros were founded by the legendary Celedonio Romero with his sons Celin\, Pepe and Angel in 1958. The Quartet went through natural transformations\, and today consists of the second (Celin & Pepe) and third generations (Lito & Celino). To have so many virtuosi of the same instrument in one family is unique in the world of musical performance\, and in the realm of the classical guitar it is absolutely without precedent. With a 55-year plus history\, The Romeros have built an enviable discography and their achievements have not gone unnoticed. In February of 2007\, The Romeros were granted The Recording Academy’s President’s Merit Award from the Grammys in honor of their artistic achievements.

DESCRIPTION:Under the direction of Aurora Held-Dodd\, the Theatre Department at Marietta College will perform Annie: The Musical on the stage of Peoples Bank Theatre. Annie is a Broadway musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie\, with music by Charles Strouse\, lyrics by Martin Charnin\, and book by Thomas Meehan. This family-friendly 1977 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical is based on Harold Gray’s popular comic strip “Little Orphan Annie\,” which he started in the 1920s.  Little orphan Annie is taken from her orphanage\, and the clutches of evil Miss Hannigan\, to stay at billionaire Oliver Warbuck’s mansion for the holidays. When Annie wins the hearts of Warbucks and his staff\, they set out on an epic mission to find Annie’s parents. Meanwhile\, Miss Hannigan\, in partnership with her brother Rooster and his girlfriend Lily\, attempt to make some money out of this unique situation. The stories become intertwined as the lovable Annie’s story hits the national spotlight.

DESCRIPTION:Long before Americana music had a name\, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band helped lead the charge\, mixing elements of country\, bluegrass\, folk\, mountain music\, and rock & roll into a sound that celebrated the full range of American music. The guys were traditionalists and trendsetters\, performing songs that nodded to the past while still pushing toward the future. Released in 1972 – just six years after the group formed in Southern California – Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will the Circle Be Unbroken still stands as one of the most beloved albums in the country catalog\, pairing the young band with legends like Roy Acuff\, Doc Watson\, Earl Scruggs\, and Mother Maybelle Carter. \n \nMany decades have passed since that milestone album’s release\, with the members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band now enjoying their own legendary status. They continue to blur lines between genres\, however\, and Circlin’ Back accomplishes something very similar to the classic Will the Circle Be Unbroken\, pairing the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with the hit-makers\, rule-breakers\, and iconic figures of today’s roots music community. This time\, Hanna\, Fadden\, and Carpenter are the elder statesmen\, passing down their influence and inspiration to a younger class without giving up the torch just yet. This condensed version of the ballet takes place in the dreams of young Clara\, in which she receives dolls who take life as the dancers. Set to the classical music of Tchaikovsky\, Clara’s Christmas Eve dream begins with a visit from the angels and the Sugar Plum Fairy\, and continues with the magical surprises from Herr Drosselmeyer. The ballet was set after the original Ivanov choreography specifically for the youth dancers of SYBC by the late Duncan Noble\, world-renowned dancer\, teacher\, choreographer\, and former Dean of Dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts.
