Her site specific work has been noted in The New York Times (The Smuggler with Solas Nua) and her work was adapted to film which premiered in NYC’s 1st Irish Festival (In the Middle of the Fields – US premiere). \nLippard was the co-founder and co-executive producer of The Chicago Home Theater Festival\, a five-year city-wide artistic network and annual event that organized artists and neighbors to celebrate local culture\, share a communal meal\, experience diverse art forms in alternative spaces\, and build intentional community across lines of difference. \nOther producing work includes Z/Magic Mondays at Magic Theatre as Artistic Associate\, with The Welders as Interim Creative Producer\, and as the Cleveland Play House inaugural Artistic Directing Fellow. She has artistically collaborated with HowlRound and the American Voices New Play Institute at Arena Stage\, Guthrie Theater\, Intersection for the Arts\, American Conservatory Theater\, Court Theatre\, Syracuse Stage\, and TheatreWorks. DESCRIPTION:Second Helping: The Original Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Show is the longest-running national Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute in the world. They are dedicated to bringing Skynyrd music to you as you remember it.\nSecond Helping began in 1988 in Jacksonville\, Florida. Second Helping guitarist Chris McCallister was invited by his friend Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King to a rehearsal at the Lynyrd Skynyrd rehearsal studio located at Larkin Collins’ office. During the rehearsal\, Chris asked the members how long they planned to continue touring. Various Skynyrd members responded\, “Just this year as a tribute to our fans\,” Chris replied\, “What? Someone ought to do a tribute to you guys!” At that point\, some Skynyrd members\, especially Gary Rossington\, laughed. Rossington said to McCallister\, “What\, like Beatlemania?” McCallister was embarrassed because Rossington\, in fun\, began teasing him. McCallister returned home (Clearwater) and started writing a tribute show to honor Lynyrd Skynyrd. The result was the first-ever national tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Since 1988\, Second Helping has worked with a few of the Skynyrd guitarists on parts of songs. \nSoon thereafter\, Second Helping began selling out shows statewide in Florida. Second Helping was listed as one of JAM magazine’s top bands in Florida. Booking agent Richard Lustig signed\nthe band around 1989\, and they began touring the United States\, Canada\, and Mexico immediately. The band’s popularity soared after appearing on MTV. The concert was a benefit\nfor Chris Oliva\, former guitarist for Savatage. The band\, by 1989\, had reached national attention and has enjoyed its success ever since. \nIn 2023\, the current Lynyrd Skynyrd lead singer\, Johnny Van Zant\, said\, “I want to wish Second Helping a happy 35 th Anniversary. Thanks for keeping that Skynyrd music alive. You’ve been\ndoing it for a long time. Guys\, we appreciate ya!”\nSecond Helping is more than a tribute band; it showcases classic Skynyrd music. The boy asks\, “Where are you going?” “To the North Pole\, of course. This is the Polar Express!” replies the conductor\, one of Tom Hanks’s six roles in the movie. At the last minute\, the boy jumps on the train and finds other young boys and girls going to the North Pole\, and their holiday adventure begins. \nRated G. DESCRIPTION:This Show is SOLD OUT\nWhen Charlie Starr started writing the songs that would become Blackberry Smoke’s new album\, Be Right Here\, the first tune the vocalist/lead guitarist worked up was “Dig A Hole.” Formed by an old guitar riff married with a Wurlitzer chorus riff written by keyboardist Brandon Still\, the swampy psychedelic-rock song is a powerful statement about choosing your path in life—whether you want to give into temptation or walk a more righteous road. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“In life\, we all are faced with choices\,” Starr says. “Are we going to do good\, or are we going to do bad? Are we going to love\, or are we going to hate? We have a finite amount of time\, each of us on this Earth. So probably want to make the best out of it instead of wasting time.” \n“Dig A Hole” is the lead track on Be Right Here and sets the tone for another expansive set of rock ‘n’ roll from Blackberry Smoke. As always\, the Georgia-based band—Starr\, Still\, guitarist/vocalist Paul Jackson\, bassist/vocalist Richard Turner and drummer Brit Turner—draw inspiration from Southern rock\, blues-leaning classic rock and rootsy vintage country. But on Be Right Here\, Blackberry Smoke sound even more self-assured\, from the strength of their songwriting to their musical execution. \nOver the past two decades\, Blackberry Smoke has developed this confidence and amassed a loyal fanbase\, leading their last five full-length albums to achieve great chart success\, including 2021’s You Hear Georgia\, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart. \nThe band wrote and recorded You Hear Georgia during the most intense periods of the pandemic but held off on releasing it until they could go tour again. Starr says Blackberry Smoke took the same deliberate approach with Be Right Here\, which was recorded in late 2022 and early 2023\, around the same time drummer Brit Turner was diagnosed with a type of brain tumor known as Glioblastoma. “We didn’t feel a whole lot of pressure to go in and make this one quickly\,” Starr shares. \nWorking once again with Grammy-Award winning producer Dave Cobb\, Blackberry Smoke has crafted music that’s raw and immediate-sounding. They tracked the album live in the same space; an approach Cobb also prefers as it lends itself to a looser vibe. “I remember different times I would say\, ‘I think we should redo that\,’ and he’s like\, ‘No\, leave it that way. That way it’s magical\,” Starr remembers. “It’s just as natural and real as possible.” \nLocation also factored into Be Right Here’s sound as they recorded most of the album at Nashville’s beloved RCA Studio A\, and then polished it off in Cobb’s studio in Savannah\, Georgia. “It’s down in the low country and beautiful\,” Starr says of the space\, called Georgia Mae. “This album has a swagger to it\, a deep in the pocket kind of feel. Those surroundings helped give the record that feel.” \nBe Right Here’s lyrics are particularly literary\, full of vivid and relatable characters that ensure the songs often resemble rich short stories. For example\, “Whatcha Know Good\,” a co-write with Brent Cobb\, is a “feel-good song” driven by an amiable narrator who gets along with everybody and dislikes negativity. “There’s plenty of bad news when you turn on the television\,” Starr says. “The dude in this song\, he doesn’t want to hear it anymore. He wants to go to fishing and talk about good news. We were giggling the whole time because we know that guy. Maybe we are that guy.” \nA laid-back\, Stones-like guitar lick from former Buckcherry guitarist Keith Nelson inspired “Like It Was Yesterday\,” helping Starr conjure another very specific character: an earnest young guy who doesn’t have much life experience\, but knows what he likes and is grateful for good times. “I picture him laying on the hood of his car with his girl\, staring up at the moon and the stars\,” Starr says. “It’s the idea of holding onto that fleeting moment\, because it can slip away from you.” \nOther Be Right Here highlights include “Azalea” and “Little Bit Crazy\,” both co-written with Starr’s frequent songwriting collaborator Travis Meadows. The latter song\, which begins with a chorus of soulful gospel singers before blooming into a languid Southern rocker\, features a narrator who’s embroiled in a relationship that’s fun\, but not necessarily healthy. \nMeanwhile\, the lovely\, elegiac folk ballad “Azalea” is centered on someone who seems emotionally bereft and spiritually lost\, but is working hard to find their way home. “It’s a heavy song. It’s not a happy song\, per se\,” Starr says. However\, “Azalea” has a distinct streak of optimism near the end\, which Starr says is intentional: “There’s some hope in there\, too. It comes with both Travis and I being fathers. Hold on to your kids as tight as you can without smothering them.” \nThe delicate balance of familial protection also permeates the easygoing “Other Side of the Light\,” a co-write with Levi Lowrey. Written from the perspective of a young boy on an obstacle-filled road trip\, the tune stresses that he’ll find shelter and safety with his mom. In contrast\, the stomping “Hammer and the Nail\,” which Starr wrote with Nelson\, takes another approach to family ties—in this case\, a son who needs to decide if he’s going to give into his wild side and take after his rebellious father. Fittingly\, lively acoustic guitar gives way to an explosive chorus with freewheeling bar-blues piano and raucous electric riffs. \nBe Right Here ends on a confident note\, the organ-driven power ballad\, “Barefoot Angel.” Starr says he doesn’t write many love songs\, but made an exception here. “It’s either me singing about my wife or some guy singing about his wife that’s in the same situation\, which is\, I wouldn’t be able to do anything without her. Her new collection of songs\, Earthstar Mountain\, is a keepsake of Cohen’s time in the Catskills\, built over the course of 2020-2024\, as blurred\, shimmering memories come into focus to produce a collage of echoes and sonic souvenirs. On stage\, she has toured from California to Eastern Europe and everywhere in between\, delivering mesmerizing performances that captivate audiences worldwide. \nAmy Millan\n \nThe first solo album from Amy Millan in over 15 years\, I Went To Find You emerged from the kind of once-in-a-lifetime serendipity that alters our experience of the world. After crossing paths with award-winning musician/composer Jay McCarrol in fall 2023\, the Montreal-based singer/songwriter felt a sense of musical communion reminiscent of the elation she’d first accessed in singing with her father as a little girl—a connection severed when her dad was killed in a car accident just before her fifth birthday. As she began creating songs with McCarrol\, Millan slowly realized that an unconscious desire to sustain that feeling had informed her lifelong devotion to music and her many cherished collaborations over the years\, including her work as co-lead vocalist of beloved indie-pop band Stars and a satellite member of iconic collective Broken Social Scene. \n“I so clearly remember being a kid and putting on my pajamas and being so excited for night time\, because that’s when my dad and I would sing together\,” Millan says. “Ever since then I’ve tried to make my life an arrow back to that feeling\, but I didn’t fully understand that until now.” \n        OYO\n \nOyo formed along the Ohio River\, between Ohio and West Virginia\, when six musicians from both sides of the water started trading tunes and didn’t see much reason to stop. What began as casual jams in the back of a print shop grew into a shared appreciation for story-driven songs and a stripped-down sound. \nFrom dimly lit barrooms to the footlights of festival stages\, Oyo weaves together threads of folk\, honky-tonk\, bluegrass\, and rock into a sound that feels both familiar and entirely their own. They’ve shared the stage with roots music heavyweights including Sierra Ferrell\, Town Mountain\, and Larry Keel\, and keep carving out their place in the tradition of stringband music—with songs that nod to good times\, wrong turns\, and the long road home. \nOyo trades off lead vocals between Aaron Martin (fiddle\, mandolin)\, Cole Adair (guitar) and Michael Bond (guitar\, keys\, harmonica\, spoons)\, with Bobby Rosenstock (banjo)\, Drew Tanner (bass)\, and Joe Ryckebosch (drums\, washboard) joining in. \nWhere does the name Oyo come from?\nThe Iroquois referred to the Ohio River as Oyo (OH-yo)\, meaning “beautiful river.” \n\nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

DESCRIPTION:The Ozark Mountain Daredevils have been aptly described as “a ragtag collection of hippies\, bohemians\, and musicians of no fixed ambition.” They have always been indefinable in terms of music genres\, producing sounds of country-rock and electric bluegrass all on the same record; writing lyrics both whimsical and poetic\, singing harmonies that would send shivers up your spine. \nThe Daredevils’ formal beginning as a band was in Springfield\, Missouri in 1971\, and included musicians Larry Lee\, Steve Cash\, Michael Supe Granda\, John Dillon\, Buddy Brayfield\, and Randle Chowning. In the beginning they called themselves the Family Tree\, then Burlap Socks\, and then the Emergency Band. But finally\, in a nod to Commander Cody who was one of their musical heroes\, they settled on the catchy moniker of Cosmic Corncob & His Amazing Ozark Mountain Daredevils—The Ozark Mountain Daredevils\, for short. \nSince their early beginnings in December 1971\, the Daredevils have released a number of major label and independent record label recordings\, traveled millions of miles performing throughout North America and Europe\, and they continue to grow and maintain a loyal and dedicated fan base throughout the world. \nTheir songs are regularly played on Classic Radio stations and\, of course\, songs like “If You Wanna Get To Heaven\,” “Jackie Blue\,” “Chicken Train\,” “Standing On The Rock\,” and countless others are still fan favorites across all media. Their current lineup of talented musicians allows the band to perform songs from every corner of their vast catalog\, and they continue to delight Dareheads with their live performances. With two of the original co-founders still on board\, their signature sound and style remain intact and vibrant. The newest Ozark Mountain Daredevils’ albums\, Off The Beaten Path (2017)\, and Heaven 20/20 (2019) are their first studio recordings since 1997.
