SUMMARY:Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone
DESCRIPTION:Peter Blair Denis Bernard Noone is a multi-talented entertainer who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. He was born in Manchester\, England\, where he studied voice and acting at St. Bede’s College and the Manchester School of Music and Drama. As a child\, he played “Stanley Fairclough” in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. He was also featured in the television series Knight Errant\, Family Solicitor\, and Monro’s Saki Stories. \nAt the age of fifteen\, Peter achieved international fame as “Herman”\, lead singer of the legendary pop band Herman’s Hermits. His classic hits include: “I’m Into Something Good”\, “Mrs. Brown\, you’ve Got A Lovely Daughter”\, “I’m Henry VIII\, I Am”\, “Silhouettes”\, “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat”\, “Wonderful World”\, “Just A Little Bit Better”\, “There’s A Kind of Hush”\, “A Must To Avoid”\, “Listen People”\, “No Milk Today” “The End of the World” “Leaning On A Lamp Post”\, and “Dandy”. Ultimately\, Herman’s Hermits sold over fifty-two million records. In all\, fourteen singles and seven albums went gold. As “Herman”\, the photogenic Noone graced the cover of nearly every international publication including Time Magazine. He performed on hundreds of television shows and appeared with such luminaries as Ed Sullivan\, Jackie Gleason\, Dean Martin and Danny Kaye. He was cast as the engaging “Duke of Cheshire” in ABC’s musical version of The Canterville Ghost. Soon thereafter\, he portrayed the title role in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s Pinocchio. He also starred in three highly successful feature films for M-G-M: Mrs. Brown\, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter\, Hold On! and When The Boys Meet The Girls. \nWith characteristic zeal\, Peter took on leading roles in full-scale theatrical productions of Dick Wittington\, Aladdin and Sinbad The Sailor. These live stage spectaculars were mounted at major theatres throughout Great Britain and Noone received critical acclaim for his outstanding work. In the eighties\, Peter starred on Broadway in the New York Shakespeare Festival’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. He won rave reviews for his superb portrayal of the dashing\, young hero\, “Frederic”. His performance was so well received\, that he went on to reprise the role at the world-famous Drury Lane Theatre in London. Noone charmed audiences worldwide as he continued to play “Frederic” with both the U.S. National Touring Company and the International Touring Company of “Pirates”. \nPeter’s acting career flourished with guest-starring roles in prime-time television series such as: Married With Children\, My Two Dads\, Dave’s World\, Easy Street\, Too Close For Comfort\, and Laverne and Shirley. In a memorable episode of Quantum Leap\, he shed his “nice guy” image to portray “Dwayne”\, a scheming promoter with murderous intentions. He starred as “Apoo”\, a frustrated African relief worker\, in the Los Angeles stage premiere of Topokana Martyr’s Day and as Alfred Von Wilmers in the U.S. National Tour of the smash Broadway hit Romance\, Romance. \nThe nineties found Peter embarking on a four-year stint as the winsome host of VH1’s My Generation\, the highest-ever-rated half hour retrospective of pop/rock music. More recently\, he was featured in the recurring role of “Paddington” on the CBS daytime drama\, As The World Turns. His legion of fans eagerly awaited each episode and Peter quickly became a favorite of the soap opera magazines and online message boards. He began the millennium with his successful entry into cyberspace and the New York Daily News dubbed him “The King of the Sixties on the Internet” due to the overwhelming popularity of his  websites: peternoone.com and hermanshermits.com. \nAccompanied by his band\, Herman’s Hermits\, Noone currently performs over 200 concerts a year. SUMMARY:The Del McCoury Band
DESCRIPTION:Even among the pantheon of music’s finest artists\, Del McCoury stands alone. From the nascent sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honkytonks\, rural schoolhouse stages\, and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams\, Del is the living link. On primetime and late-night television talk shows\, there is Del. From headlining sold-out concerts to music festivals of all genres\, including one carrying his namesake\, there is Del. Where audiences number in the tens of thousands\, and admirers as diverse as country-rock icon Steve Earle and jamband royalty Phish count as a few among hundreds\, there is Del. Emerging from humble beginnings in York County\, PA nearly eighty years ago\, Del was not the likeliest of candidates for legendary status. As a teen\, he was captivated by the banjo playing of one of its masters\, Earl Scruggs\, and decided he’d be a banjo picker\, too. \n The Baltimore/Washington\, D.C. bar scene of the early 1960s was lively and rough. Del caught a break. More than a break\, really. It was an opportunity of a lifetime; joining Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys in early 1963. Considered the Father of Bluegrass\, Monroe transformed McCoury\, moving him from the banjo to guitar\, anointing him lead singer\, and providing him with a priceless trove of bluegrass tutelage direct from the source. Countless hours of recording sessions and miles of tireless touring dotted the decades. Del carried on\, and carried with him the hallowed traditions of the form and its dedicated following. The passing years became certificates of authenticity. So\, in the sea of grunge and R&B that dominated the music scene of the mid-1990s\, it was special\, perhaps even startling\, to see: There was Del.  \nNow helming the Del McCoury Band\, with sons Ronnie and Rob\, the ensemble did and continues to represent in a larger\, growing musical community a peerless torchbearer for the entire sweep and scope of bluegrass history. Those many years\, not to mention a good-natured willingness to stay alert to the latest sounds and opportunities around him\, earned McCoury a whole new generation of fans\, including some in unlikely places. “I’m just doing what’s natural\,” says Del. “When young musicians ask me what they should do I always tell them\, ‘You do whatever’s inside of you. Do what you do best.’” No surprise that contemporary\, bluegrass-bred stars sang his praises; marquee names like Vince Gill and Alison Krauss (who first met Del at a bluegrass festival when she subbed for his missing fiddler). Yet\, here too was rocker Earle recording and touring with the group. Here was Phish jamming onstage with the boys. Here was the band on TV\, or headlining rock clubs and college campuses; the can’t-miss appearances at country and jazz festivals. There was Del. “We don’t have a setlist\,” says Del. “We try and work in the new songs\, but a lot of times it’s just requests from the audience. It’s more interesting for the band\, for me\, and for the audience because nobody knows what’s coming next.”  \n Almost unimaginable\, McCoury’s sixth decade in a half-century of bluegrass bliss brings new triumphs\, new collaborations\, and new music. With but a single change in membership in twenty seven years The Del McCoury Band shows unprecedented stability as well as garnering the respect and admiration of the industry for its unmistakable work: ten IBMA Entertainer of the Year trophies (most recently in 2024); in 2003\, Del’s awarded membership in the cast of the legendary Grand Ole Opry; the band’s first Best Bluegrass Album Grammy award\, in ’05\, followed by a second Grammy win in 2014\, (not to mention double-digit nominations). “I know (having the same band) helped with my success. It keeps your sound constant\,” says Del. “We really enjoy what we’re doing.” The group traveled with the groundbreaking post-O Brother “Down From The Mountain” tour\, and performed with Gill\, recording on his Grammy-winning These Days\, as well as country sensation Dierks Bentley. In addition to becoming something of a regular at the wildly popular Bonnaroo Music Festival\, they’ve also curated and expanded Del’s annual namesake festival. One of the premier string-band events in the country\, the multi-day\, multi-stage DelFest showcases the new lions of the genre such as Billy Strings\, Molly Tuttle\, Greensky Bluegrass\, The Infamous Stringdusters\, and Old Crow Medicine Show\, and legends like Ricky Skaggs\, Sam Bush\, and Bobby Osborne\, plus a diversity of artists like Phish frontman Trey Anastasio and blues-rock veterans Gov’t Mule to Americana darlings The Wood Brothers and Rhiannon Giddens.  \n“DelFest is a great accomplishment\,” says Del. “I never thought it would be as successful as it is.” And\, when Sony Music came calling\, post-Hurricane Katrina\, proposing a collaboration with New Orleans’ revered Preservation Hall Jazz Band\, there was Del. If there was ever a collection of recordings confirming McCoury’s wide-ranging impact and spirit of musical comradery\, it would be American Legacies. A wonderfully fulfilling cross-section of traditional bluegrass and the Dixieland pomp of New Orleans\, the album typified the Del McCoury Band’s evolution from bluegrass vanguard to an American treasure.  \n“All music is related. Bill Monroe went to New Orleans and listened to jazz players. Earl Scruggs- some of the tunes he recorded were from New Orleans\,” says Del. “It all fits together if you’re willing to be open-minded.” And like any genuine treasure\, the gifts keep coming. On their latest release\, Songs of Love and Life\, A glorious 15-song collection\, the album follows 2021’s celebrated\, Grammy-nominated release\, Almost Proud\, and once again features Del touching down on a diverse set of tracks–vintage and contemporary–as he and his crackerjack band nod to icons Kenny Rogers\, Roy Orbison\, and Elvis Presley\, as well as welcome next-generation talent\, Molly Tuttle\, to the party. Across his six decades of making classic albums\, Del knows what he’s looking for in a song. “I like a challenge. I’ve always liked a challenge\,” says Del. “I like to learn different things. DESCRIPTION:Tusk has been crisscrossing the country since 2008 as The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute. But of all the Fleetwood Mac tributes playing around the United States today\, what exactly sets Tusk apart? Is it more than five skilled professionals with decades of individual musical study\, live performance\, creative risk\, and devotion to the art? Is it more than affection and respect for the Fleetwood Mac experience\, an entity that has endured over 50 years of musical and cultural evolution? Is it more than vocal similarities\, common physical traits\, or good costumes? Few acts would find success in the tribute scene without displaying some or all of these characteristics. So what qualities does Tusk possess that can’t be learned\, bought\, or created simply from a desire to have them?  \nChemistry. Synergy. Intuition. \nThe history among the five founding members of Tusk goes back more than four decades. Two met while playing Little League baseball\, while two others were classmates in every music subject imaginable from middle school band through high school jazz. All five have been playing music with one another over the years in various original bands\, jam bands\, singer-songwriter circles\, and alternative rock groups. DESCRIPTION:The most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. With its unique jazz sound\, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since.\nERIK STABNAU\nMusic Director / Saxophonist \n \nTenor saxophonist Erik Stabnau brings his lifelong enthusiasm for big band music to each performance of the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Having grown up with a love for the music of the swing era\, Erik naturally gravitated toward Glenn Miller\, drawn to his recognizable melodies and the distinctive sound of his reed section. A Western New York native\, Erik learned to play the saxophone\, flute\, and clarinet in a variety of disciplines before developing an interest in the large ensembles of Ellington\, Basie\, Dorsey\, Miller and others. Excited to pursue a future in music\, he attended college at the Eastman School of Music in his hometown of Rochester\, earning a bachelor’s of music in Jazz and Contemporary Media. Intent on broadening his education\, Erik went on to study music business and recording with a masters degree in Audio Arts from Syracuse University. Prior to his time with the Glenn Miller Orchestra\, Erik performed and recorded as a bandleader and sideman throughout the Northeast\, adding to his credentials experience as an educator\, clinician\, writer\, and arranger. He was thrilled with the opportunity to join the orchestra in June 2017 on tenor saxophone\, playing the music and solos that Tex Beneke first made famous in the 1930’s and 40’s. As a member of the band\, Erik has performed across the US in 48 states and abroad in Canada and Japan and now is honored to step in front of the orchestra as its music director. \n  \n  \nJENNY SWOISH \nVocalist \nJenny Swoish is a vocalist and songwriter with a lifelong passion for performing. A native of Southern California\, she began studying piano\, theater\, voice and dance at a\nyoung age. After singing “stage” versions of works by George Gershwin\, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin\, her interest in jazz blossomed through the classics of the Great American Songbook. She was inspired when exploring different interpretations by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald\, Frank Sinatra\, Sara Vaughn and Dinah Washington along with modern vocalists such as Jane Monheit and Peter Eldridge. Jenny earned her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from California State University\, Long Beach. She studied with critically acclaimed vocalist and educator Christine Guter as well as performed in multiple award-winning ensembles. Because of her passion for the sound\, texture and energy of big band music\, Jenny loves singing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Moreover\, she delights in the chance to see and experience so much of the world while on tour. But what gives Jenny the most joy is bringing the nostalgic sound of Glenn Miller to the thousands of fans who express their thanks and happiness at hearing the songs that evoke such pleasant memories. When not singing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra\, Jenny performs her original music and works as a voice over artist in Nashville. DESCRIPTION:Larry\, Steve & Rudy\, the Gatlin Brothers are Grammy award-winners who have dazzled audiences for more than sixty-nine years. They have accrued a lifetime of noteworthy achievements in their storybook career\, including a Grammy for Best Country Song (“Broken Lady”)\, three ACM awards for Single of the Year (“All The Gold In California”)\, Album of the Year (Straight Ahead) and Male Vocalist of the Year\, along with five nominations for CMA Vocal Group of the Year\, Single\, Album. \nThe Brothers have accumulated 7 # 1 Singles\, 32 Top 40 Records\, 24 Studio Albums and 5 BMI “Million-Air” Awards. As a solo writer\, Larry ranks 4th on Billboards top 40 self-penned hits. His impressive song catalog has been recorded by the “Who’s Who” of entertainers\, including Elvis Presley\, Barbra Streisand\, Johnny Cash\, Roy Orbison\, Glen Campbell\, Kris Kristofferson\, Sir Tom Jones\, Dottie West\, Charlie Rich\, Johnny Mathis\, and many others\, securing his legacy as one of BMI’s top solo songwriters. The hits continued throughout the decade with their signature song “All the Gold in California” followed by “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer To You).” The next decade brought number one songs with “I Don’t Wanna Cry”\, “I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love\,” “Statues Without Hearts\,” “Love Is Just A Game“\, and “Night Time Magic.” Larry has also written & produced a musical\, “Quanah”\, which was performed in April 2017 to rave reviews.  \nThey have performed at the White House\, the President Reagan Library\, Air Force One\, Ford’s Theater\, Camp David\, President Bush’s 80th Birthday Party\, The Lincoln Theater\, Carnegie Hall\, Madison Square Gardens\, West Point\, The Mall in Washington D.C.\, The Greek Theater\, Billy Bob’s Texas\, Radio City Music Hall\, Disney World and The Wembley Music Festival\, to name a few. They have been privileged to grace the stage with legendary entertainers\, like Kenny Rogers\, Brad Paisley\, Rascal Flatts\, Vince Gill\, The Oak Ridge Boys\, the Gaither Vocal Band\, the Isaacs just to name a few.  \nThe brothers have also proudly entertained our U.S. Troops in Kuwait\, Qatar\, UAE\, Germany and at many military bases in the United States as well. They have appeared at many sporting events and venues singing the National Anthem\, including the ’85 and ’89 World Series\, and the U.S. \nOpen Tennis Tournament in New York City. They have performed in Yankee Stadium\, the Astrodome\, Nissan Titans Stadium\, Candlestick Park\, Chicago White Sox Ballpark\, NHL All Star Hockey Game in Calgary\, Alberta Canada\, Darlington NASCAR Speedway\, the Cotton Bowl\, Sugar Bowl\, Rose Bowl\, Giants Stadium\, New Orleans Saints Superdome\, Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium\, Houston Texans’ Reliant Stadium and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing\, China.  \nTheir career began in Abilene\, Texas in 1955 when Larry was seven\, Steve was four and Rudy was two. The brothers grew up singing gospel music while listening to James Blackwood and the Blackwood Brothers\, Hovie Lister\, and The Statesmen Quartet as well other accomplished gospel artists. As children the brothers would sing for anyone who would listen. Soon they were singing from coast to coast and appeared at the World’s Fair in 1964 in New York City. They recorded four Gospel records early in their career. In 1966\, Larry went to college at the University of Houston where he studied English and Law. In 1971\, he auditioned for The Imperials\, Elvis‘ backup group. While he did not get the job\, he met Dottie West\, who was the opening act for Jimmy Dean. Dean would later become one of Larry’s oldest and dearest friends. Dottie was initially taken with Larry’s resemblance to Nashville songwriter Mickey Newbury. She told him one night in Las Vegas that he looked so much like Mickey\, he had to be able to write great songs too. Encouraged\, Larry returned to Houston\, wrote eight songs\, and sent them to Dottie. She liked them so much she sent him a plane ticket to Nashville. \nThrough Dottie’s friendship\, Larry met Kris Kristofferson\, who championed his talents as a writer and singer. Kristofferson’s introduction to Fred Foster at Monument Records resulted in a recording contract with the label. Larry’s first album\, The Pilgrim\, was released later that year. Johnny Cash wrote the liner notes for the album and dubbed him “The Pilgrim”\, a name he called him the rest of his life. At this time Steve and Rudy were still in college at Texas Tech University\, but by 1975 they moved to Nashville to join Larry to form the group as we know it today. \nThe brothers still perform approximately 40 road concert dates a year as well as 30 performances at the famed Grand Ole Opry. Since the March 2023 release of his all-original\, self-produced EP titled “Soon Enough\,” Cole has toured the Southeast playing honky-tonks\, clubs and festivals\, as well as opening shows for artists like Austin Snell\, Conner Smith\, and Zach Top. In 2024\, Cole released many fan favorites\, including “When You Get Home\,” co-written with fellow Georgia Southern University alum\, Will Moseley\, and “Catchin’ On” written with songwriter\, Justin Dukes. Cole was voted Savannah’s Best Country Artist of 2023 and 2024\, as well as 2024’s Best Singer/Songwriter\, Best Local Concert\, and Best All-Around Musician.
