SUMMARY:Firehouse
DESCRIPTION:FireHouse has been rockin’ for over a decade. Their music has taken them allover the world and has produced Gold\, Platinum and Multi-Platinum records in the United States and countries abroad. In 1990\, their first album\, entitled FireHouse\, was released. The band’s first single\, Shake & Tumble\, had impressive radio success. \n  \nThe band then released Don’t Treat Me Bad\, which became their first Top Ten hit. This was followed by Love of a Lifetime\, which also entered the Top Ten\, reaching the #3 spot on the United States charts. This string of hits vaulted their first album to double platinum status in the United States; also going gold in Canada\, Japan and Singapore. At the 1991 American Music Awards\, FireHouse found themselves standing before the nation accepting the award f or Best New Hard Rock/Metal Band\, chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains. \n  \nThe band’s second album\, Hold Your Fire\, was released in 1992. It produced the hits Reach for the Sky and Sleeping with You. Another Top Ten hit\, When I Look into Your Eyes\, peaked on the United States chart sat #5. This album earned the band two more gold albums and over 1 million sales worldwide. In 1995\, FireHouse released their third album on Epic\, simply titled3. Once again\, FireHouse produced another Top Forty hit in the United States with I Live My Life For You. \n  \nIt was with this album that FireHouse made their first trip to Southeast Asia for a promotional tour. Earlier American hits like Don’t Treat Me Bad\, Love of a Lifetime and W hen I Look into Your Eyes had climbed the charts in Asia. Here for You\, the second single from3\, had also become a hit. The band then continued their promotional tour in South American countries such as Brazil and Argentina. Their fourth album\, Good Acoustics\, was released in 1996 and quickly went gold in Malaysia\, Thailand\, and Philippines. \n  \nGood Acoustics contains unplugged versions of the group’s greatest hits\, as well as four new songs. This album produced foreign hits such as In Your Perfect World\, Love Don’t Care and You Are My Religion. The band returned to Southeast Asia for another promotional tour at the end of 1996. Then\, in February 1997\, FireHouse embarked on their first concert tour of Southeast Asia playing sold out shows for fans in Indonesia\, Singapore\, Thailand\, and Japan. During May and June they toured the United States before returning to Southeast Asia in July for an unprecedented twenty-five city sold out tour of Indonesia. \nIn 1998\, FireHouse toured the United States on the Rock Never Stops tour\, which also included Slaughter\, Warrant\, Quiet Riot\, and LA Guns. October of1998 featured the Asian release of FireHouse’s fifth CD\, Category 5on Pony Canyon Records. The album quickly climbed to #4 on the Japanese charts\, and supporting promotional tour of Japan followed. Category 5 was officially released in the United States in 1999. \n  \nFireHouse continued touring through the winter and spring of 1999\, including3 more sold out shows in Tokyo\, Nagoya\, and Osaka. On April 22\, 1999\, the band recorded their live show in Osaka. The result – the first ever live album by FireHouse. Bring ‘em Out Live was released in Japan in December 1999and in the United States on Spitfire Records in July 2000.The turn of the century brought the release their seventh album\, titledO2. It has been released in SE Asia on Pony Canyon Records\, and in the US on Spitfire Records. This album had notable success despite the changing style of popular rock music. \n  \nDuring this time\, the band decided to part ways with original bass player\, Perry Richardson. O2’s remarkable bass playing was supplied by Bruce Waibel. Bruce brought to the band his phenomenal bass playing along with is equally impressive sense of humor. We truly regret to say that in September 2003\, Bruce has passed away. He will be greatly missed as a friend and talented musician. FireHouse headed back into the studio in early 2003 to write and record their8thalbum\,PRIME TIME. As music changes over time\, FireHouse continues to evolve their musical style; yet\, at the same time\, hang onto their hard rock roots. Released in October of 2003\, album number 8 is no exception. You can expect to hear what FireHouse is famous for … soulful\, melodic hard rock. \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!\n

SUMMARY:Marshall Charloff & Purple Xperience
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE PRODUCTION: \n\nMarshall Charloff & Purple xPeRIeNCE is the most celebrated tribute to Prince in the world. The group was co-founded by Marshall and Matt “Doctor” Fink (keyboardist from Prince & The Revolution) in 2011\, an era where Prince closely monitored the use of his art. Their vision was to deliver Prince’s music on the highest level\, played live and untracked by skilled musicians\,\nwhile paying respectful visual homage through costuming and likeness. Immediately met with success and adoration from discerning Prince devotees\, the band has now been touring for over a decade\, nationwide and internationally\, and has performed for over 500\,000 fans. In 2019\, they were officially licensed by the Prince Estate\, and in 2021\, Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE were selected by the US Department of State to be featured in the USA Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai. The band continues to hold the unique distinction of playing the show 100% live\, completely untracked–paying true homage to the greatest musician of our time–Prince–with real musicianship. \n  \nMARSHALL CHARLOFF AS PRINCE: \n \nMinneapolis-native Marshall was raised in the epicenter of 1980’s music production\, and cut his musical teeth working with Superproducers John Fields and Steven “Funkytown” Greenberg. At\nage 19\, Marshall\, like Prince\, was discovered and signed by producer Pepe Willie. Marshall is featured on 94 East albums with Prince\, where he plays guitar and Prince is on vocals. A multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, and producer in his own right\, Marshall has written for\, produced\, and recorded for the multi-Platinum and Grammy award-winning Commodores and for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Little Anthony & The Imperials. Marshall’s second original album\, “Unperfect” achieved the distinction of “Top 100 Albums of 2020” on global smooth jazz charts.\nMarshall has also played keys for the Atlanta Rhythm Section\, and has played bass guitar with Bobby “Z”\, Matt “Dr. Fink”\, and Andre Cymone (all Prince alumni players).\nIn addition to his work with The Purple xPeRIeNCE\, Marshall has had the honor of fronting 25 of the finest symphonies in North America\, performing the music of Prince to great acclaim. He has\nbeen the feature of two full-length PBS Broadcasts; fronting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra\, and fronting The Purple xPeRIeNCE in the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison\,\nColorado.\nMarshall completed a Las Vegas residency\, where he headlined starring in “Purple Piano: The World’s Only One-Man Tribute to Prince”–a highly-engaging show in the style of Prince’s final\ntour\, “Piano and a Microphone”. This production continues to tour nationwide\, interspersed with full band performances. In all of his avenues of honoring Prince\, Marshall’s vocals are uncannily accurate\, his guitar and piano skills are masterful\, and his endearing stage presence is irresistible in its paradox of finesse and reverence. \nABOUT THE PLAYERS: \n\nMarshall Charloff’s all-star band\, Purple Xperience\, hosts a number of world-class players\, including Tracey Blake on lead guitar (played with New Power generation\, Sons of Almighty\nfeaturing members of NPG\, Tracey Blake Project\, Westside: inducted in the Midwest hall of fame); Ron Long on bass guitar (played with Christina Aguilera\, The Backstreet Boys\, 98°\,\nAlso recorded with John L.\, Larry Blackman of Cameo\, and Spike Lee); Ron Caron on drums (played with the Rembrandts\, Tina and the B sides\, The Melismatics); Cory Eischen on keys (played\nwith New Power Generation\, Prince’s protégé group: Mazarati\, Soul Asylum’s Dave Pirner and Dan Wilson from Semisonic). \n  \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!\n

Each show begins at 6:00 p.m.\, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot and soak in the festive atmosphere! \nLex Bauman is a mix of classic cool and fun modern power pop. Lex started playing guitar at a very young age.  He immediately found his purpose in the sound and feel of the instrument.  \nHe began playing live shows with professional bands around the age of 10. In 2020\, when the world stopped\,  Lex doubled down on his commitment to music. He learned to write and record as well as putting in countless hours on guitar practice and\, seeing where his life was headed\, began working on his vocal skills.  As the world opened back up\, Lex began headlining his own shows and opening for national acts. Since\, he has entertained countless people and always puts on an amazing live show.  In 2023\, Lex began working on his biggest project to date. He enlisted Tuk Smith to co–write and produce his EP\, While We’re Still Young.  The EP is an explosion of power pop. With amazing melodies\, huge harmonies\, catchy lyrics and driving guitar hooks\, it will put you in mind of Avril Lavigne\, Cheap Trick or a rock n roll Taylor Swift.  GUNS N ROS  While We’re Still Young (the single) was released in January of 2024 and the EP of the same name will be released in the spring of 2024.

SUMMARY:Christopher Cross
DESCRIPTION:Christopher Cross burst onto the music scene with his 1980 self-titled debut album\, winning five Grammy Awards\, including—for the first time in Grammy history—the “Big Four” most prestigious awards: Record of the Year (for the single “Sailing”)\, Album of the Year\, Song of the Year (also “Sailing”)\, and Best New Artist. \nIn a career spanning over five decades\, Cross has sold over 10 million albums. His music has garnered five Grammys\, an Oscar\, a Golden Globe\, an Emmy nomination and five Top 10 singles. Within a year of the first album’s release\, Cross was keeping company with music royalty like Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager and through that collaboration won an Oscar for “Arthur’s Theme\,” the theme song for the movie Arthur. With his 1983 release\, Another Page\, Cross was again in the Top 10 with the singles “Alright” and “Think of Laura.” \nHis song\, “Swept Away\,” composed for the hit television series\, Growing Pains\, was nominated for an Emmy in 1988. His creative flame continues to burn brighter than ever\, and 12 albums since 1980 demonstrate not only are his first fans listening enthusiastically\, but a new generation is discovering his music. Cross is rewarding them all with ever more richly-crafted melodies and elegant guitar work as featured in his latest work\, Take Me As I Am (2018). \nAll in all\, it’s been quite a ride\, one that’s taken Cross from his early days in Texas where he once served as a drum tech for Ginger Baker\, bought gear from Jimmy Page\, played lead guitar for Deep Purple on a night when Ritchie Blackmore fell ill\, among other unique experiences; to his current role as an ever-evolving musician touring the world. A box set commemorating his multi-decade long career will be released in 2020. In 2020\, Christopher Cross celebrates the 40th anniversary of his breakthrough debut album with a major tour featuring songs from his debut album: “Sailing\,” “Ride Like the Wind\,” “Say You’ll Be Mine\,” and more. \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!\n

SUMMARY:Trace Adkins: Somewhere in America Tour
DESCRIPTION:“I’ve got to the point where it’s all up to me now\,” says Multi-Platinum Country star Trace Adkins\, 25years into a career filled with bold authenticity and chart-topping smashes. “I can do whatever I want … and that’s a beautiful place to be.” \nIn truth\, he’s been doing that all along\, fusing a booming baritone and commanding stage presence with sounds from all across the Country spectrum–sometimes with a mischievous wink. But on his 13th studio album\, The Way I Wanna Go\, Adkins takes the idea to heart. Since his debut in 1996\, the larger-than-life star has sold over 11 million albums and charted 20 songs on Billboard’s all genre Hot 100\, while catapulting 15 singles into the Top 100 Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. He’s also racked up two billion streams and boasts a reputation for fiery live performance–not to mention his multiple Grammy nominations\, awards from the ACM and CMT\, and a willingness to think outside the box. \nNow\, with 25 all-new tracks to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his Dreamin’ Out Loud debut\, Adkins brings it all together. Steeped in the cultural melting-pot of his Louisiana up bringing\, The Way I Wanna Go finds him leaning in to a lone-wolf spirit\, and continuing down the road which made him a shapeshifting member of the Grand Ole Opry. Produced by Mickey Jack Cones and Derek George and to be released by Verge Records\, it touches on all aspects of Adkins’ hit-making career–from profound traditional balladry to clever-Country party anthems. And with a sound that ranges from timeless twang to beat-driven bravado\, it brings a who’s who of unpredictable guests along for the ride. All-star collaborators include Blake Shelton\, Luke Bryan\, Stevie Wonder on harmonica\, Snoop Dogg\, Pitbull\, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge. And Adkins’ creative craftsmanship is sharper than ever. “I am at the top of my game right now\,” he says with conviction. “I’m better at this than I’ve ever been in my life\, and I like the way my voice sounds better now than 25 years ago.” \nSmooth\, rich and dynamic\, that iconic vocal shines on the good-old-days anthem\, “Heartbreak Song\,” and enjoys the fruits of labor in the peaceful “Where I Am Today.” Others like “Careful Girl” showcase Adkins’ rumbling romantic magnetism–made famous with his first No. 1\, “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing”–while “Got It Down” stands tall for those who take life by the horns. Our red-white-and-blue ideals remain intact with “Somewhere In America.” And in “Empty Chair\,” Adkins salutes the quiet sacrifice of U.S. service members\, tapping the raw emotion that also drove big-picture anthems like “You’re Gonna Miss This.” \nBut the tunesmith also made his name on irreverent knee-slappers\, carving a good-timing niche with hits like 2004’s “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk\,” and 2010’s “Hillbilly Bone” (with Blake Shelton). Here\, he revisits the friendship with Shelton on “If I Was a Woman\,” sharing a few laughs with his2021 tour mate. He weaves a rom-com worthy plot in “It’s a Good Thing I Don’t Drink\,” while “Where The Country Girls At” combines the party-starting prowess of Luke Bryan and Pitbull. And in what’s sure to be an instant favorite\, “So Do the Neighbors” cranks up the volume with rap legend\, SnoopDogg.“I just remember it was almost the same reaction to the first time I heard ‘Badonkadonk\,’” Adkins says of the hip-hop honky tonker. “It made me laugh out loud!” Adkins further shares\, “Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would collaborate on songs with Luke Bryan\, Melissa Etheridge\, Snoop Dog\, Keb’ Mo’\, Pitbull\, and Blake Shelton…on one album! I even have a song that Stevie Wonder plays harmonica on. So\, to have performances by these iconic superstars\, from different musical genres\, on my 25th-anniversary album is incredibly humbling.” \nBut it’s “The Way I Wanna Go” which best shows where he’s at\, 25 years into his career and still going strong. Delivered with pride and a sense of against-the-odds determination\, Adkins cautions that he’s not done yet–he’s loving this chapter of life too much to quit. But when he does bow out\, he’ll do it just like he does everything else. On his own terms. “I love where I’m at\, I really do\,” Adkins says. “I’ve had the perfect career\, and I don’t know where my place is gonna be when the history of what I did is written. But 90 percent of the time\, I said what I wanted to say and stuck to my guns\, and did what I wanted todo. … And I’m gonna go out the way I wanna go out.” \n  \n\nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

SUMMARY:Hipp-Stage Productions Presents: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR FIVE PERFORMANCES:\n\nThursday\, June 20\, at 8:00 PM\nFriday\, June 21\, at 8:00 PM\nSaturday\, June 22\, at 2:00 PM\nSaturday\, June 22\, at 8:00 PM\nSunday\, June 23\, at 2:00 PM\n\n  \nHipp Stage Productions is pleased to bring to the Peoples Bank Theatre stage\, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! There will be five opportunities to see this show that showcases a mix of both professional talent from across the country and the Mid- Ohio Valley. \nWritten in 1968 and featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd-Webber\, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat features iconic pop and musical theatre tunes known around the world\, such as Any Dream Will Do\, Close Every Door\, and Go Go Go Joseph. The musical tells the journey of Joseph\, son of Jacob and one of twelve brothers\, and his coat of many colors. Based on the Bible’s Book of Genesis and originating from a cantata written for a school choir\, Joseph is a much-loved family classic. A lively and colorful journey from Canaan to Egypt\, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the rags to riches story of Joseph\, his 11 brothers\, their wives\, the people they encounter\, and the coat of many colors. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nTim Rice has worked in music\, theatre\, and films since 1965 when he met Andrew Lloyd Webber\, a fellow struggling songwriter. Rather than pursue Tim’s ambitions to write rock or pop songs they turned their attention to Andrew’s obsession – musical theatre. Their first collaboration was based on the life of Dr. Thomas Barnardo\, the Victorian philanthropist\, The Likes of Us. Their next three works together were much more successful – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat\, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. \n  \nTim has since worked with other distinguished popular composers such as Elton John (The Lion King\, Aida)\, Alan Menken (Aladdin\, King David\, Beauty and the Beast)\, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (Chess)\, and Stuart Brayson (From Here to Eternity). He has also written with Freddie Mercury\, Burt Bacharach and Rick Wakeman among others. \nTim founded his own cricket team in 1973\, which has now played over 750 matches\, and was president of MCC\, founded in 1789\, in 2002. He crops up here and there in all branches of the media\, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the history of popular music. \nAs an EGOT\, he is one of only 17 people in the world to have won an Emmy\, Grammy\, Oscar and Tony award\, was knighted by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1994\, and is the proud owner of a boxer dog and two dozen chickens. \n  \nAndrew Lloyd Webber has composed the scores of some of the world’s most famous musicals. From Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1969) to Cinderella (2021)\, his work has been consistently seen on world stages. Before the COVID pandemic hit\, Lloyd Webber had shows continually running in the West End for 48 years and on Broadway for 41. When Sunset Boulevard joined School Of Rock\, CATS and The Phantom Of the Opera\, he equalled Rodgers & Hammerstein’s record of four shows running simultaneously on Broadway. He is one of the select group of artists with EGOT status\, having received Emmy\, Grammy\, Oscar and Tony Awards. \nLloyd Webber owns seven London theatres\, including the iconic London Palladium and Theatre Royal\, Drury Lane. Over the past three years the latter has been completely restored and renovated at a cost of over £60 million. It is one of the biggest projects ever undertaken by a private theatre owner in recent times. His mantra that every penny of profit made from his theatres is ploughed back into the buildings has meant that considerable work has been undertaken across his theatre portfolio during the pandemic\, including the complete remodelling and reseating of the Gillian Lynne. \nLloyd Webber is passionate about the importance of musical education and diversity in the arts. The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation provides 30 performing arts scholarships every year for talented students with financial need and supports a range of projects such as the Music In Secondary School Trust and commissioning research into diversity in theatre. \nAndrew Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992 and created an honorary life peer in 1997. To mark his 70th birthday\, his bestselling autobiography Unmasked was published by Harper Collins in March 2018. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

SUMMARY:Sammy Kershaw
DESCRIPTION:Since his debut on the music scene in the early 90’s\, Kershaw has remained one of the most consistent power hitters in country music—both with a chain of major hit records and sell-out touring schedules. Sammy Kershaw’s plan for country music is re-claiming its roots and recapturing the spirit that made it great “Man\, for someone like me who had George Jones’ music imprinted in my DNA before birth\, the last few years have been rough as a fan of country music\,” noted Kershaw candidly in a recent national interview. \n“Country music is not a formula…it’s a music with its own soul…and I’m all about saving that soul!” Kershaw’s current album “Honkytonk Boots” promises to be a much- anticipated first step in that plan of salvation. For the newest Kershaw project\, the singer’s soulful sound and Cajun vocal kick is teamed back-up with the genius of producer Buddy Cannon—whose efforts\, like Sammy’s\, have lined his walls with platinum. Sammy’s vibe about his latest studio venture has all the earmarks of a proud father talking about his new arrival “In music\, everything is timing. I knew when we were in the studio working on the new album that we had something radio and fans are ready for…the feel of the album is a return to the kind of country music I\, and a lot of other people\, have missed.” \nPowerful words from a man who has picked\, written\, and sung a lot of hits. Often referred to as the “heir apparent” to the legendary ‘voice’ himself—George Jones—Sammy Kershaw helped make the ‘90’s a shining decade for country music. It’s a comparison not lost on Sammy\, who grew up in the Cajun country of Louisiana on a diet of crawfish and country music. The oldest of four children\, the tragic loss of his father\, matured him even faster than the clubs and honky tonks he was performing in at 12 years old. He speaks openly today of years spent battling substance abuse and addictions. “It’s not a period of my life I’m proud of but I do talk about it to encourage kids not to follow in my footsteps\,” Kershaw recently noted. \nHelping others is a subject close to the heart that beats within what might often appear to be a tough\, macho exterior. Sammy Kershaw is\, in fact\, a softie when the subject turns to kids. If proof were needed it stands in his hometown of Kaplan\, Louisiana. There Sammy has established the Sammy Kershaw Foundation. Its outreach has extended through donations so far of more than 2 million dollars in aid to children and child related charities. With projects that extend from granting wishes through “Make A Wish Foundation” to establishing camps for crippled children\, the foundation exists to fulfill Sammy’s simple goal of improving the lives of children. \nIn the course of breaking into the ranks of stardom in country music\, Sammy Kershaw has made contributions to more than just the charts. His platinum albums were propelled into the records books by hits such as “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful\,” “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore\,” “National Working Woman’s Holiday\,” “Love Of My Life\,” “Cadillac Style\,” “Don’t Go Near The Water\,” “Haunted Heart\,”…and many other milestones. \n  \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!\n

In the years 1969 through 1974\, no other group  achieved more top 10 hits\, moved more records\, or sold more concert tickets than  THREE DOG NIGHT.   \nTHREE DOG NIGHT hits weave through the fabric of pop culture today\, whether on the  radio where they are heard day in and day out\, in TV commercials or in major motion  pictures — songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”\, “Joy to the World”\, “Black and  White”\, “Shambala” and “One” serve to heighten our emotions and crystallize THREE  DOG NIGHT’s continuing popularity.  \nBoasting chart and sales records that remain virtually unmatched in popular music\, THREE DOG NIGHT had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits\, including 3 #1 singles\, 11 Top  10’s\, 18 straight Top 20’s\, 7 million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold  LPs. The hits appeared on best selling charts in all genres (pop\, rock and country). Its records continue to sell around the world\, reaching beyond the borders of the U.S. into Japan\, Canada\, Holland\, England\, Germany\, Spain and elsewhere. Tens of millions of  THREE DOG NIGHT records have been sold through the years.   \nCreated in 1968 by Danny Hutton\, THREE DOG NIGHT maintains an aggressive\, year round touring schedule of over 90 dates a year\, performing their hit filled concerts for multi-generational audiences. The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian  hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights; the coldest being a “three dog night”.   \nThe band recorded songs of the best and largely undiscovered new songwriters of its time  including Harry Nilsson\, Randy Newman\, Elton John\, Laura Nyro\, Paul Williams and  Hoyt Axton among many others. The group’s eclectic taste\, combined with its ability to  recognize and record hits in a unique\, distinctive\, and appealing style\, resulted in THREE  DOG NIGHT dominating the charts for years. The band’s music transcends time\,  bringing together both new and longtime audiences alike.   \nTHREE DOG NIGHT demonstrates its eclectic song choices once again with the new  material being recorded for an upcoming album release. One of the new tracks\, “Prayer  of the Children” was discovered by Hutton who created an a cappella arrangement\, so that for the first time in the history of THREE DOG NIGHT\, the vocals of all six  members of the band are featured. The song is currently part of their live concert set and  quickly becoming an audience favorite.  \nMarking over 50 years on the road\, THREE DOG NIGHT continues to grow its fan base  by keeping up a full schedule of concerts at theatres\, performing arts centers\, fairs\,  festivals\, corporate events\, and casinos. Since 1986\, the band has performed nearly 3\,000 shows including two Super Bowls.   \nTHREE DOG NIGHT’s 21 Top 40 Hits:   \nMama Told Me (Not To Come) #1   \nJoy to The World #1   \nBlack And White #1   \nShambala #3   \nEasy To Be Hard #4   \nAn Old Fashioned Love Song #4   \nThe Show Must Go On #4   \nOne #5   \nNever Been To Spain #5   \nLiar #7   \nEli’s Coming #10   \nThe Family Of Man #12   \nCelebrate #15   \nOut In The Country #15   \nSure As I’m Sittin’ Here #16   \nLet Me Serenade You #17   \nOne Man Band #19   \nPieces Of April #19   \nTry A Little Tenderness #29   \nTil The World Ends #32   \nPlay Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues) #33   \nhttp://www.threedognight.com/  \nhttp://www.facebook.com/threedognight \n  \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!\n

SUMMARY:May First Friday Concert: Angela Perley
DESCRIPTION:The First Friday concerts will take place outside The Stage Door on Putnam Street\, creating the perfect ambiance for a Friday night out. Audiences are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and enjoy the music in a relaxed\, open-air setting. Each show begins at 6:00 p.m.\, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot and soak in the festive atmosphere! \n  \nAngela Perley makes music for roadtrips across the American heartland. Rooted in cosmic alt-country\, roadhouse rock & roll\, witchy-woman psychedelia\, and amplified Americana\, it’s a vintage sound for the modern world\, glued together by a singer/songwriter who’s played everything from dive bars to arenas. \nWith Turn Me Loose\, she leans into the rootsy textures that have always underscored her music. Laced with pedal steel\, Telecaster twang\, and Gibson grit\, the album embraces the grey areas between genre and generation\, with Perley breathing new life into her 1960s and ’70s influences. Recorded in her native Ohio\, Turn Me Loose finds Perley building a dreamy world of her own\, writing sharply-detailed songs filled with small towns\, big cities\, and foggy nights pierced by her car’s high-beams. \n“Plug me in\, turn me loose\,” she sings during the album’s opening track\, which unfolds like a mission statement from a road warrior who’s hungry to hit the highway again. Turn Me Loose hits cruising speed with “Star Dreamer\,” whose chorus of sha la la la‘s nods to the kaleidoscopic swoon of the British Invasion\, then reaches a gallop with “Ripple\,” a country-western track that trades Perley‘s midwestern roots for southern stomp. “Here For You” is a personal pep talk — a love song to oneself\, peppered with greasy\, Rolling Stones-worthy guitar — while “Praying For Daylight” and “Wreck Me” conjure up images of Texas dancehalls at closing time\, when the dust from the floorboards turn slow circles in the stage lights. Together\, these songs turn Turn Me Loose into a soundtrack for the road less traveled\, with Perley behind the wheel. \nBefore she shared shows with heavyweights like Willie Nelson and Lucinda Williams\, Perley launched her career as the frontwoman of Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons. The group debuted with 2014’s Hey Kid — an underground hit not only in America\, but also overseas\, where the album peaked at Number 6 on the EuroAmericana chart — and returned with 2016’s Homemade Vision\, whose lead single “Electric Flame” became an FM radio hit. Perley continued the momentum with 4:30\, her debut as a solo artist. Produced by pedal steel guitarist Brandon Bankes\, Turn Me Loose marks the continuation of that acclaimed solo career\, featuring contributions from her Howlin’ Moons bandmate\, Chris Connor\, as well as a new band of road-worn roots-rockers. \nPraised by No Depression for “laying down an interesting mix of folk\, Americana\, and ’60s-tinged psychedelic rock that floats seamlessly between Bob Dylan and Procol Harum\, sometimes within the same song\,” Angela Perley has spent a decade building her audience the old-school way. She’s a tireless traveler chasing down her own horizon\, steadily graduating from local gigs in her hometown of Columbus\, Ohio\, to national shows alongside bands like Caamp. She’s a modern-day gypsy in platform boots. A tireless songwriter bringing the gap between personal insight and universal sentiment. And with her newest album\, she’s at the top of her game\, turning the highs and lows of an adulthood logged on the road into an album built for speed. \nTurn her loose\, indeed.

SUMMARY:Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
DESCRIPTION:For nearly six decades\, the three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has entertained audiences with their top-shelf musicianship and timeless hits. Now the time has come for the band who has carried a torch for American country and roots music to say so long to the highways and byways they’ve crossed an unimaginable number of times throughout their career. On March 21st\, 2024\, the Dirt Band will kick off the first leg of their last traditionally scheduled gigs\, ALL THE GOOD TIMES: The Farewell Tour. \nThis isn’t goodbye forever\, but it will be the last fans see of multi-city runs and long bus rides. These special shows will celebrate the music created by the legendary\, yet ever-evolving NGDB. Many veteran bands trade on nostalgia\, on replication of past glories\, and on recycled emotions from younger\, more carefree days. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band trades on a mix of reimagined classics and compelling newer works. The group formed in 1966 as a Long Beach\, California jug band\, scored its first charting single in 1967\, and embarked on a selfpropelled ride through folk\, country\, rock ‘n’ roll\, pop\, blue- grass\, and the amalgam now known as “Americana.” \nThe first major hit came in 1971 with the epic “Mr. Bojangles\,” which\, along with insistent support from banjo master Earl Scruggs\, opened doors in Nashville. Behind those doors were Earl Scruggs\, Roy Acuff\, Doc Watson\, Mother Maybelle Carter\, Jimmy Martin\, and others who would collaborate on a multi-artist\, multi-generational\, three-disc 1972 masterpiece: Will the Circle Be Unbroken went triple Platinum\, spawned two later volumes\, and wound up in the Grammy Hall of Fame. \nWas this a cutting-edge combo or a group of revivalists? Was the goal rebellion or musical piety? Yes\, to all these things. In the 1980s\, the Dirt Band reeled off 15 straight Top 10 country hits\, including chart-toppers “Long Hard Road (The Sharecropper’s Dream)\,” “Modern Day Romance\,” and “Fishin’ in the Dark” (co-written by Jim Photoglo\, who would join the band in the second decade of the new century). \n1989 brought a second Circle album\, this one featuring singer-songwriter talents including John Prine\, Rosanne Cash\, and John Hiatt and garnering two Grammy awards for the band (it later won another\, for a collaboration with Earl Scruggs and other fine folks). Circle II also won the Country Music Association’s Album of the Year prize. Circle III was released in 2003\, featuring collaborations with Johnny Cash\, Dwight Yoakam\, Emmylou Harris\, Taj Mahal\, and more. \nThroughout the group’s lifetime\, personnel has changed\, with each change resulting in positive steps forward\, new ways of playing the old songs\, and renewed enthusiasm for writing and recording fresh material. The latest Dirt Band lineup is expanded to six members for the first time since 1968. Today’s group consists of founding member Jeff Hanna\, harp master Jimmie Fadden (who joined in 1966)\, and soulful-voiced Bob Carpenter\, who has more than 40 years of service in the ensemble. Those veterans are now joined by singer-songwriter-bass man Jim Photoglo\, fiddle and mandolin wizard Ross Holmes\, and Hanna’s son\, the preternaturally talented singer and guitarist Jaime Hanna. \nBlood harmony\, thrilling instrumental flights\, undeniable stage chemistry…these things are part of each Dirt Band show\, just as they are part of Dirt Does Dylan\, the first recording from the reconfigured\, six-strong group released in 2022. Produced by Ray Kennedy and Jeff Hanna\, it’s a remarkable ride through some of the most impactful songs of the past century\, penned by Bob Dylan and taken for a blue highway spin by a great American band\, with help from genius-level contemporary artists like Jason Isbell and The War and Treaty. A Dirt Band show is unlike any other. For legions of fans\, it’s less about the memories than the moment\, crisp as an Autumn apple and rich as a royal flush. \n  \nOpening Act will be Britt Taylor\n  \n  \nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

SUMMARY:Roots and Boots with Collin Raye\, Sammy Kershaw & Aaron Tippin
DESCRIPTION:Aaron Tippin\, Collin Raye\, and Sammy Kershaw come together for an\, “electric throwdown” of  their 90s country music hits!\nAaron Tippin:\nAaron Tippin – who marks his silver anniversary as a recording artist this year – admits that he looks at his career longevity with a little bit\nof amazement. “I think about it and go ‘Wow. What am I doing still here?’ I look at the flight that we took off in\,” referring to his fellow newcomers at the time of his career launch. “A lot of them are gone\, it seems. Some quit by choice. Some ran out from under it\, but to be here twenty-five years doing it\, I am the luckiest hillbilly that ever lived.” \nTippin’s first single\, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something\,” hit the Billboard Country Singles chart – eventually peaking at # 6. And\, just like that\, Aaron Tippin was off to the races. The hits continued to pile up – “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong With The Radio\,” “My Blue Angel\,” and “Workin’ Man’s PhD\,” among them. He was building his brand on songs that touched a nerve with his blue-collar audience – and that one of a kind vocal style that definitely was Country. \nCollin Raye:\nCollin Raye was one of the true hit makers of the 1990’s. Collin still continues to crank out soulful\, heartfelt material with the honesty and richness that is signature to his vocals alone. With 24 top ten records\, 16 #1 hits\, and having been a 10 time male vocalist of the year nominee (5 CMA and 5 ACM)\, this truly electrifying performer of his era remains one of the great voices of our time. Collin Raye is nothing if not passionate. His soulful delivery has set country standards in such searing ballads as “Love\, Me\,” “In This Life\,” “Not That Different” and “If I were you”. Always an energizing showman\, he has also blazed through such vivid rockers as “My Kind of Girl\,” “That’s My Story\,” “I Can Still Feel You” and “I Want You Bad.” \nSammy Kershaw:\nSince his debut on the music scene in the early 90’s\, Kershaw has remained one of the most consistent power hitters in country music—both with a chain of major hit\nrecords and sell-out touring schedules. Sammy Kershaw’s plan for country music is re-claiming its roots and recapturing the\nspirit that made it great “Man\, for someone like me who had George Jones’ music imprinted in my DNA before birth\, the last few years have been rough as a fan of\ncountry music\,” noted Kershaw candidly in a recent national interview. “Country music is not a formula…it’s a music with its own soul…and I’m all about saving that soul!” Kershaw’s current album “Honkytonk Boots” promises to be a much- anticipated first step in that plan of salvation. \n  \n\nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

He remembers feeling a kindred spirit to Ringo from the start. Since then he has traveled around the world as a multi-instrumentalist\, playing drums\, bass\, keys and guitar in a number of touring groups. Erik brings Ringo”s unmistakable drumming style and fun loving stage presence to the cast of The Ultimate Tribute. \nArdy Sarraf has been acclaimed by both Beatles fans and critics as the best musician to every portray the youthful\, Paul McCartney. Ardy has toured extensively as Paul in such places as Japan\, Korea\, Guam\, and Puerto Rico\, to name a few…and has appeared on stage with such artists as Bruce Springsteen; Micky Dolenz and John Fogerty. His left-handed bass playing and “record accurate” vocals have won him first place in numerous Beatlefest sound-alike contests. Unlike other imitators\, he plays piano on such songs as “Hey Jude” and “Let It Be\,” just like McCartney did on the original recordings. His strong resemblance to the “cute Beatle” will definitely make you take a second look. \n  \n  \n\n\nEnjoy all of our upcoming performances on our new Byrider Stage!

SUMMARY:Esbenshade Series: Barbara Nissman
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Esbenshade Series of Marietta College\n“Music to Love” with pianist Barbara Nissman is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.\, Thursday\, March 14\, at Peoples Bank Theatre as part of Marietta College’s Esbenshade Series. Tickets for Nissman’s performance can be reserved starting at 10:00 a.m.\, Monday\, February 26. This will be an evening of great music and an informal chat as Nissman shares the music and stories of some of her favorite composers. \nHailed as “one of the last pianists in the grand Romantic tradition of Liszt\, Rachmaninoff\, and Rubinstein\,” Nissman continues the grand bravura tradition of romantic pianism. Recognized as an authority on the music of Franz Liszt\, her 2 DVD set\, Franz Liszt: Portrait of the Man & his Masterwork- The Sonata in B minor with Michael York as the voice of Liszt and a stellar cast of his contemporaries has recently been released. Her recordings of Prokofiev\, Bartók\, and Ginastera are considered “definitive\,” and she has garnered praise for her series of recordings of nineteenth-century composers: Beethoven\, Chopin\, Liszt\, Schumann\, Brahms\, and also Rachmaninoff. All these recordings are now available on Nissman’s new label\, Three Oranges Recordings. \nNissman’s international career was personally launched by Eugene Ormandy\, who had previously engaged her as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has performed with the leading orchestras of Europe and America. She has also worked with some of the major conductors of our time\, including Ormandy\, Riccardo Muti\, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski\, and Leonard Slatkin. Nissman was inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame’s class of 2023. \nThe series\, funded by the Frederica G. Esbenshade Memorial Fund\, will once again feature five performances and all will be free of charge to the public.
