At Peoples Bank Theatre, the show goes on because of you.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Marietta, Peoples Bank Theatre has been bringing live entertainment and community together for more than a century. Originally opened in 1919 as the Hippodrome Theatre, this historic Marietta theatre has welcomed generations of audiences for concerts, touring productions, films, and community events.

After closing in 1985, the theatre was saved and lovingly restored by members of the community before reopening in 2016 as Peoples Bank Theatre. Today, the theatre continues that tradition by presenting outstanding live entertainment and cultural experiences for the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Ticket sales and concessions cover about two-thirds of our annual costs. The rest comes from the generosity of people who believe in preserving this historic theatre and supporting the arts in Marietta and throughout the region.
