Marietta Summer Theatre 2019 update

The Hipp-Stage Production Company of Peoples Bank Theatre is no longer producing the Marietta Summer Theatre Festival; Shakespeare by the River (2014-2018), and the Summer Musical (Oklahoma, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls).  The Theatre Department of Marietta College has assumed the responsibility for providing the Marietta Community with Summer Theatre beginning in 2019.  The Theatre Department assumed management of the festival as it would be advantageous, as field-experience for their Musical Theatre and Theatre majors, and as summer employment for their faculty and staff.  David Tadlock, Jill Ruff and Geoff Coward, producer and directors of the Summer Musical are particularly sorry that they will not be able to share their talent with the Marietta Community this coming summer.
