Featured event at 3 pm: Be a part of a live taping of American Public Television’s Songs at the Center, Featuring Todd Burge Bob Thompson, Jessica Baldwin, Eric Gnezda, and some of the best student singer-songwriters Ohio has to offer!
On Saturday, April 22, the Edward E. MacTaggart Department of Music at Marietta College is sponsoring the Brick Street Arts Bash. This FREE, all-day arts block party will take place in the 100 and 200 blocks of Putnam Street. Peoples Bank Theatre will be alive with activity throughout the day. There will also be a street-level stage at the intersection of Second and Putnam Streets, as well as a covered, raised stage at Front and Putnam.
This Arts Advocacy event, will also feature the works of 34 displaying artists from all over Ohio and the Mid Ohio Valley. Music, dance, art exhibits and theatre performances and demonstrations of every genre will be presented during this day long event.
Numerous events and art exhibits will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. All events, concert, demonstrations are open to the public and free of charge. The purpose of the event is to allow people to be surrounded by the world of the arts and to build a greater appreciation for the value of the arts in public school education and daily life. All these opportunities at NO expense to anyone.
