See, hear, and experience silent film just as it would have been presented in our historic theatre in the 1920s! Join us for an evening of music and film with Fox Theatre organist Dave Calendine.
This FREE theatre organ concert is a celebration of the great music from the Broadway stage, including Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, The Music man, and The Phantom of the Opera. There will also be a Military Tribute.
The silent film feature is the Buster Keaton comedy, “The Electric House.”
Two of the largest sternwheeler boats on the Ohio River—The Queen of the Mississippi and The American Queen—will arrive in Marietta on July 14, 2018.
As a bonus, on July 14, historic downtown Marietta will play host to a variety of calliopes, band organs, and monkey organs. The air will be filled with the music of the riverboat era!
This fun, free concert for all ages is a gift to the community from Jim and Sylvi Caporale of American Flags and Poles.
