About Undercurrent Winter Festival
We believe local music can have a major impact on our community.
We hear people say it’s necessary to come from a big city to be taken seriously in the music industry, but we’d like to play a part in letting our neighbors know we have amazing talent right here in our own back yards.
What’s our goal? It’s pretty simple: Bring awareness to the variety of high quality music in Ohio and West Virginia, empowering local musicians to see even more value in their craft, while empowering our community to know they hold as much value as major musical meccas. It all starts with believing in yourself: to build a scene, to build a community, and to build a movement.
We’re moving toward a stronger sense of pride with Undercurrent Festival. We’re doing things a little differently around here-starting from our back yard and moving outward, creating a scene that shows we’re worth paying attention to. And this time, we’re bringing the Fest to Marietta’s gorgeous, historic, Peoples Bank Theatre.
All performing musicians live within 3 hours of the Mid-Ohio Valley, are are currently living, or have spent a large portion of their formative years in our home states of Ohio and/or West Virginia. They’re not included because we feel we have to, but because we’re PROUD to include them. And we’d be proud to have you alongside us, too.
