Job Title: Box Office Attendant
Location: Peoples Bank Theatre
Part-time, hourly (availability required for show times including evenings/weekends)
Job Summary:
Peoples Bank Theatre is seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented Box Office Attendant to support ticket sales and patron services. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn our ticketing software. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service in person, over the phone, and online, while contributing to the overall success of the theatre’s operations and patron experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell tickets through in-person, online, and phone transactions using the theatre’s ticketing system
- Assist patrons with ticket inquiries, exchanges, seating questions, and general information
- Process memberships and provide support to current and prospective members
- Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, transactions, and customer interactions
- Support front-of-house operations as needed during performances and events
- Ensure an organized, welcoming, and efficient box office environment
- Uphold and communicate theatre policies in a professional and courteous manner
- Work cooperatively with other theatre staff and volunteers
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn and use computerized ticketing systems (training provided)
- Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
- Availability for scheduled daytime shifts as well as all performances, including weekend nights and some Sundays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or ticket sales
- Interest in the arts or live entertainment
- Familiarity with ticketing software or CRM systems a plus
