The corner of 3rd and Putnam in historic downtown Marietta, Ohio is about to become a lot brighter this year. Thanks to the ongoing support from Peoples Bank, a dazzling digital marquee sign will be installed outside of the theatre, contributing to the vibrant display that shines from the recently added knife board.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this historic addition to the theatre will take place on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th at 6:30 p.m., outside of the theatre at 224 Putnam Street. All are welcome to attend this event to see the new marquee and hear a few words from the Peoples Bank Theatre management team, as well as representatives from Peoples Bank. To top the night off, Country Music star Chris Janson will perform at the theatre following the ceremony at 8 p.m.

The digital marquee is the third recent addition to the theatre. Previous additions include the knife board sign and a new, state-of-the-art JBL VTX sound system. These recent additions fortify the theatre’s commitment to being the Mid-Ohio Valley’s Premier Entertainment destination since 1919.

“We are excited for the theatre to have a more recognizable footprint thanks to the generosity from Peoples Bank,” said Mirada Duty, General manager of Peoples Bank Theatre” “With the love and support from the community we will continue to thrive and bring amazing things to Marietta.”

The knife board and the marquee sign would not have been possible without Peoples Bank- a long time supporter of the theatre that played a large part in reopening the theatre’s doors in 2016.

“We are committed to the theatre for many years to come and are excited to further enhance this historic venue that provides energy to the evenings in downtown Marietta,” said Tyler Wilcox, President and Chief Executive Officer of Peoples Bank.

We hope you will show some love to Peoples Bank Theatre on Valentines day and be a part of this historic evening!
